Nefertiti’s Dream  

I walk along contours of memories and dreams

On roads and paths built before time

I walked down sand dunes

Across arid deserts

Into the souls of my people

Rummaging them in search of their gods

I know the price of fearlessness

I have crossed boundaries

Of fear too many times, too often

Armed with nothing but my vision

And my love for my people
